Oxford calling

Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Psychology) student Sarah Bourke has recently received a scholarship to visit Oxford.

The Charlie Perkins Scholarship Trust offers high achieving Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander undergraduates the opportunity to visit Oxford.  The scholarship is awarded to high achieving students with the view of showcasing Oxford and Cambridge.

Sarah will visit Oxford and meet with students and academics in her area of interest.  She will also have the opportunity to visit Cambridge University.  The visit will expose her to a number of options for postgraduate study.

Director of the Tjabal Centre at ANU, Dr Peter Radoll, says "Sarah was chosen from a very competitive field nationally".  This opportunity is a credit to her dedication and achievement thus far in her undergraduate degree.

Sarah is currently undertaking a major in biological anthropology and has been identified as a potential leader in her field of study and in her community.
